We have been nominated for not one but three Yorkshire Choice Awards this year! We are still so overwhelmed to have been recognised for these awards, being just 18 months old! The awards allow the diverse and wide-ranging portfolio of Yorkshire businesses to be recognised and celebrated for their achievements and give the nominees, finalists, and winners the exposure that they deserve!

The first award we have been nominated for is Charitable Business of The Year. This is something that we at The Secret Event Service are extremely proud of. As a team, we are so passionate about helping charities and giving our bit back to the community. The most recent charity that we have been involved with is Smart Works Leeds, having helped them with their event strategies in Leeds and supported them in building their community in the north. It would be absolutely incredible to be recognised for this.

Our second nomination is for the New Starter Business of The Year award. We have had such an incredible 18 months of business with our team growing from just 1 to 8. We’ve won some brilliant clients, worked on a huge selection of exceptional projects and the team we’ve developed are genuinely outstanding. We are continuously evolving and progressing as a business and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us! To be acknowledged for this award would give us the exposure we truly need to grow from a start-up to something huge!

Last but certainly not least, our Managing Director Kate Hutchinson has been nominated for Businesswoman of The Year which is absolutely incredible. She really does deserve to be recognised for this and it would mean the world to her. Kate founded The Secret Event Service in July 2018 all by herself, creating a full-service events agency primarily focussed on helping B2B companies to run successful events with purpose in order to build their brands. She is truly passionate about bringing people together to grow and learn as well as supporting people to make the most of the opportunities available. If Kate were to accept this award, it would give her the positive recognition she deserves!
